Steve Klyce

Croc Crete Expert

Steve's journey began on a 1,500-acre Mississippi farm, where he mastered farm equipment operation and developed his hands-on approach to problem-solving. Growing up with his aviator grandparents, who ran a large crop-dusting business and rice farm, Steve learned to work on and fly both airplanes and helicopters while maintaining everything from tractors to diesel-powered rice well pumps.

After moving to Pensacola, Florida, Steve discovered electronics repair. He spent time in repair shops learning to fix televisions and microwaves. His curiosity was insatiable: he devoured every science book he could find and had a habit of taking things apart just to understand how they worked.

By age 21, Steve had already earned an impressive array of certifications, including ASE Master Craftsman truck certification, Master Engine Machinist, Master School Bus Technician credentials, and transport refrigeration. His expertise spanned internal combustion engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and refrigeration. After operating his own mechanics and fabrication shop, where he even remodeled golf pro John Daly's motor coach, Steve built a Class 8 auto-transporter and entered the car hauling business.

Realizing life on the road wasn't sustainable, Steve transitioned to engineering studies before joining a machine shop as a hydraulic engineer. For five years, he designed and built hydraulic systems while running and maintaining machine shop equipment.

In 2005, Steve met Don Miranda and joined PipeSurgeons at the ground floor of the pipelining industry. As one of only the second companies in the U.S. licensed by Nu-Flow for sewer pipe lining and copper water line epoxy coating, Steve traveled to California for specialized training. He became the driving force behind making the technology work, modifying existing equipment, building custom tools from scratch, and developing processes for installing liners in sewer lines and applying epoxy to copper water pipes.

For the past 20 years, Steve has been at the forefront of pipelining innovation for both sewer and potable water lines. He's also been instrumental in manufacturing and selling Croc-Crete for the last seven years, developing a solution that actually works for removing unwanted concrete from pipes, a rewarding achievement in a market full of ineffective products.

Steve's career reflects his core strength: taking emerging technologies and making them work in the real world through ingenuity, hands-on experience, and relentless problem-solving.
